Job Title

• Full-time, day shifts, 3x12 or 4x12 hours
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized obstetric and neonatal nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
• Monitor fetal heart rates using external and internal fetal monitoring devices, recognize abnormal patterns, and respond appropriately.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, including cesarean sections, use of forceps or vacuum extraction, and manage complications such as hemorrhage and shock.
• Administer medications and fluids as ordered, including antihypertensives, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, and other protocols.
• Perform neonatal assessments, manage newborn thermoregulation, and support immediate postpartum care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and safety.
Required Qualifications
• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• AWHONN Intermediate course completion (can be obtained prior to start)
• Minimum of 1.5 years of labor and delivery nursing experience
• Travel experience in high-risk obstetric settings preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience managing multiple gestations, placenta previa, eclampsia, preterm labor, and VBAC management
• Proficiency with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), Intrauterine Pressure Catheter (IUPC), and neonatal resuscitation
• Ability to perform procedures such as amnioinfusion, internal monitor calibration, and postpartum assessments
