Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients on a 36-bed telemetry unit focused on respiratory disorders
- Float to other units and hospitals as needed, maintaining flexibility in scheduling
- Deliver high-quality, specialized care to patients with lung diseases or injuries
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy
- Ensure compliance with unit protocols and safety standards during patient care activities
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in nursing
- Current Alabama Registered Nurse license or compact license (no temporary licenses accepted)
- AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year in a specialized field such as respiratory care or med-surg/telemetry
- Willing to work 36 or 48 hours per week and on holidays as required
- Ability to work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working on telemetry units or with respiratory patient care
- Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
