Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with various solid tumor cancers, including chemotherapy administration and post-treatment support.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, ensuring patient safety and early detection of complications.
- Administer treatments in accordance with infection prevention protocols and patient care plans.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage patient care throughout the cancer journey, from diagnosis to end-of-life transition.
- Document patient progress and care activities using computerized charting systems, such as EPIC.
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training, including a week of dayshift orientation followed by unit-specific onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, preferably in oncology or med-surg settings.
- Experience interpreting telemetry monitoring.
- Ability to work nights and adapt to variable scheduling.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Oncology certification, such as ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card.
- Previous travel nursing experience.
- Experience with electronic health records like EPIC.
- Flexibility to float to other Med-Surg Oncology units as needed.
