- Travel, Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to laboring patients within a busy maternity unit.
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum recovery.
- Perform cervical exams, placement of fetal monitoring devices, IV starts, and lab draws.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including OB techs, anesthesiologists, and laborists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize advanced monitoring technology and follow unit policies to deliver safe, compassionate care.
- Document patient care accurately in Meditech and Centricity systems.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
- Active RN license.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring.
- Experience with fetal monitoring, cesarean sections, and postpartum care.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience in L&D.
- Familiarity with advanced tools such as fetal pillows, Cook's catheters, and support classes like Spinning Babies.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, growing healthcare environment.
