Key Responsibilities
• Provide expert nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Medical Care (IMC), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Stepdown units.
• Monitor patient vital signs, manage IVs, and administer medications as prescribed.
• Recognize and respond promptly to patient emergencies, including rhythm recognition.
• Document patient progress and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning when appropriate.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in an ICU, Stepdown, or similar specialty prior to travel assignments.
• Current Ohio or Compact State Registered Nurse license.
• BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Certification required.
• Recent experience providing cardiac or stepdown care, including travel experience acceptable.
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration assessments during orientation.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with using electronic medical records and clinical assessment tools like Qualivis – Lotus.
