Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Location: Vail, CO
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 26-week contract, rotating shifts, 3x12-hour shifts, starting 11/10/2025, guaranteed 32 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily patient flow to ensure optimal care, safety, and satisfaction
- Triage incoming patient requests for services and provide appropriate bedside care
- Deliver patient education to support care plans, healthcare decisions, and wellness promotion
- Delegate nursing care in accordance with Colorado state regulations
- Perform competent health assessments, prioritize interventions, and utilize critical thinking
- Handle high-volume patient communication for medications, information, and assistance
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and support procedures following safety guidelines
- Coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers to maximize quality outcomes
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining excellent service standards
- Advocate for patient safety and preferences through Relationship-Based Care; embody organizational values and a Just Culture
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of operating room nursing experience
- Valid RN license in Colorado or a valid compact state license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Proficiency in computer skills to complete online training, access forms, and complete online benefits enrollment within 90 days
- Fluency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking skills
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Previous experience working in high-acuity surgical or perioperative settings
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to adapt to rotating shift schedules effectively
