Key Responsibilities
- Perform PET/CT scans and other nuclear medicine procedures in a teaching hospital setting.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols, including proper badge management.
- Work 5 days per week with varying start times from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM and end times from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
- Participate in monthly Saturday PET/CT scans, with potential to work approximately one Saturday every four weeks based on departmental needs.
- Maintain high-quality imaging standards using Siemens equipment.
- Adhere to emergency response requirements during hurricane season, including potential assignment to emergency teams.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Badge provided by the staffing agency (MUSC does NOT provide badges).
- Certification from NMTCB (N) or ARRT (N).
- Certification in CT from NMTCB (CT), ARRT (CT), or ARRT (R).
- State license in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography (SCRQSA).
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers.
- Familiarity with Siemens PET/CT scanners.
- Ability to work flexible block schedules (approval required).
