Key Responsibilities
• Assist in various surgical procedures including cardiac, vascular, thoracic, robotic, and general surgeries.
• Scrub and prepare surgical instruments and equipment for open and endovascular surgeries.
• Support cardiac transplant surgeries, valve replacements, and other complex procedures.
• Adhere to infection control protocols, including COVID-19 vaccination and booster requirements.
• Respond to on-call emergencies during designated periods, including holidays and weekends.
• Maintain patient safety and assist surgical teams throughout procedures.

Required Qualifications
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist license.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant surgical experience.
• Experience with cardiac, vascular, or thoracic surgeries preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to navigate web-based applications and basic computer skills.
• Must have experience with valve replacement and open vascular/endovascular surgeries.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous experience in a teaching hospital setting.
• Specialty area expertise in cardiac or vascular surgery.

• Weekly orientation sessions.
• Guaranteed 72 hours per biweekly pay period, exclusive of on-call time.
