Job Title

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for a diverse adult patient population on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit and 8-bed Progressive Care unit.
• Manage patients with conditions such as pneumonia, COPD, CHF, COVID-19, pulmonary embolism, and other complex diagnoses requiring advanced clinical skills.
• Perform procedures including oxygen therapy, IV medication administration, moderate sedation monitoring, chest tubes, tracheostomies, non-invasive and mechanical ventilation, and cardiac monitoring.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe patient outcomes and support quality improvement initiatives.
• Complete unit-specific orientation focusing on telemetry and mechanical ventilation, including online modules and preceptor-guided shifts.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including badge in/out and dress code (navy blue scrubs).

Required Qualifications
• Current RN license issued by a compact state or South Dakota.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with Bipap, Cpap, Heated High Flow, and oxygen titration.
• Proficiency in telemetry and medical-surgical patient care.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience with mechanical ventilation and respiratory therapies.
• Specialty certifications such as Progressive Care Nursing or Medical-Surgical Nursing.
• Experience working in a Magnet-recognized facility (preferred).
• Ability to float between units/departments as needed, including Med-Surg and IMC.
