Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

• Rotating shifts, Full-time, 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday, with call shifts as required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and compassionate nursing care in both emergency and medical-surgical units.
• Perform a variety of procedures in ER and Med Surg settings, handling patient assessments, treatments, and documentation.
• Float between ER and Med Surg units as needed, managing up to 5 patients in Med Surg.
• Utilize equipment such as Sanford One Charge, Pixis, and computerized charting systems.
• Adhere to Sanford dress code by wearing navy scrubs; white under uniform or lab coat permitted.
• Complete required computer and departmental training prior to start date.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with recent ER and Med Surg practice (at least 6 months in the past year).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications, with TNCC preferred.
• Active RN license for South Dakota.
• Certification in PALS is required.
• Ability to function independently in ER and Med Surg environments.
• Must badge in and out at the facility.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with NRP is a plus and can be completed onsite if necessary.
• Prior experience working with Sanford Health is preferred; must note if previous employment with Sanford, with an end date at least 6 months before submission.
