- Full-time, Night shift (7 PM - 7 AM), 13-week travel assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pulmonary care for critically ill, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician supervision
- Perform patient assessments and develop respiratory care plans
- Conduct technical procedures including airway management, ventilator setup and operation, aerosolized drug delivery, and airway support device management (BiPAP, CPAP)
- Monitor and analyze blood gases, EKGs, and chest X-rays
- Respond to emergency codes and participate in hospital surveys
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure equipment readiness
- Assist with advanced practice tasks such as pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy support, and waveform analysis
Required Qualifications
- Current Respiratory Therapist (RT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure in Texas
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (AHA)
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in PICU, NICU, or Pediatric ER settings
- Capability to perform therapeutic gas management, pulmonary function testing, and nocturnal oxygen evaluation
- Ability to take on leadership roles such as Shift Leader or Team Leader
