• Contract, 10/20 start, NIGHT shifts, 13-17 week assignments, float pool

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in an ICU float pool setting across various units including neuro, respiratory failure, cardiology, and transplant.
• Float to overflow units such as MS, Tele, PCU, PACU, Stepdown, and high-acuity transplant units as needed.
• Administer medications, manage vents, perform IV starts, and monitor ICP and hemodynamics.
• Utilize critical skills such as telemetry, conscious sedation, and PA line management, adhering to established protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with all hospital standards during float assignments.
• Pass initial EKG exam and maintain required certifications through duration of contract.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, including PA line experience.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIH.
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam on first day of orientation.
• Experience with vents, IV starts, ICP monitoring, telemetry, and conscious sedation.
• Must be open to first-time travel assignments with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU experience at large hospitals, especially transplant centers.
• CCRN certification.
• Exposure to Level I trauma or charge nurse responsibilities.
• Experience with high-acuity and transplant patient populations.
