Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care in a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a diverse patient population.
• Respond to a wide range of patient needs, from minor complaints to critically ill patients experiencing cardiac arrest, strokes, or trauma.
• Titrate and manage various IV drips such as vasopressors, cardiac medications, and antihypertensives, ensuring patient stability.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to deliver timely and effective care.
• Document patient conditions, interventions, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly in compliance with hospital policies.
• Maintain proficiency in interpreting cardiac rhythms and monitor readings, contributing to rapid response in emergency situations.

Required Qualifications
• Active Illinois RN license or current application status.
• Valid BLS, ACLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC or TNS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient nursing experience, preferably in an emergency or critical care setting.
• Prior travel nursing experience of at least 1 assignment preferred.
• Proficiency in managing vasoactive drips and titration protocols.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience working in a teaching hospital environment with residents.
• SANE RN experience preferred.
• Familiarity with high-flow oxygen devices, ventilators, and emergency telemetry monitoring.
