Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute patient care in a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department with 65 private beds and two trauma bays.
• Manage a diverse patient population ranging from newborns to the elderly, including critically ill and trauma patients.
• Titrate and monitor various drips such as vasopressors, cardiac, antihypertensive, and other critical medications.
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and ED staff to deliver timely and effective care.
• Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond to emergent cardiac or life-threatening situations.
• Assist with procedures including lab draws and operating respiratory equipment under supervision.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois nursing license or proof of application.
• BLS, ACLS, ENPC/PALS, and TNCC/TNS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ER nursing experience, with at least 1 travel assignment preferred.
• Proficiency in titrating critical drips and handling advanced equipment such as vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen.
• Ability to interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms.
• Working knowledge of radiology processes and ability to assist with basic lab workflows.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• SANE RN experience is a plus.
• Experience working in a teaching hospital setting with residents.
• Strong critical thinking skills and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience with emergency department protocols and trauma care.
