Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in a mixed intermediate care unit, including step-down, telemetry, and medical-surgical patients.
- Float between units such as MS, ICU, and ED as needed to support patient care.
- Monitor and manage patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and renal conditions, including patients on various drips and IV medications.
- Conduct frequent neuro and seizure checks, including continuous EEG monitoring when necessary.
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately and timely.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS-AHA) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour day/night shifts, including every other weekend.
- BILH coverage sheet required at time of submission.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS (AHA) certification.
- Experience caring for cardiac, respiratory, neuro, and renal patients, including use of specialized equipment and medications.
- Comfortable with patient monitoring, bedside procedures, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
