Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for orthopedic patients, including elective and trauma cases.
• Monitor patient conditions, manage orthopedic equipment such as CPM machines, knee immobilizers, and bone foam.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using EPIC electronic health records.
• Utilize safe patient handling techniques and equipment to ensure patient safety.
• Support patients through their recovery process, including hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs.
• Maintain compliance with all hospital protocols and standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of orthopedic or trauma nursing experience.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Familiarity with orthopedic procedures, including hip, knee, and shoulder surgeries.
• Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts, including one holiday and one evening during the holiday period.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Rapid Response Teams.
• Knowledge of orthopedic and trauma patient care, including the use of orthopedic equipment such as CPM, knee immobilizers, and orthopedic-specific supplies.
• Strong understanding of safe patient handling techniques.
