• Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

• Nights, Full-time, 3x12-hour shifts, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• Up to every other weekend; staff and travel team members sign up for 5 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.
• Subject to float between all campuses if needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for cardiac patients, including those with acute coronary syndrome, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization.
• Monitor and manage patients with pre- and post-cardiac procedures, MI, and heart failure.
• Use advanced skills such as EPIC documentation, rapid response teams, and CVP monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments for cardiac conditions, including Tikosyn loads, pre/post placement of pacemakers or ICDs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a progressive care environment.
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding punctuality and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a cardiac or progressive care unit.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with cardiac tele, PCU, and related procedures.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records.
• Knowledge of rapid response protocols, central lines, PICC lines, and CVP monitoring.
• Ability to manage acute cardiac conditions such as chest pain, STEMI, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and heart failure.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• First-time travel nurses accepted.
• Experience in post-MI and post-catheterization care.
• Familiarity with EP lab procedures, pacemaker/ICD placement, and Tikosyn management.
