Schedule / Job Type

• Night shift, full-time, 3x12-hour shifts (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.), every 3rd weekend, holidays as needed. All travelers may be required to float between multiple campuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for patients with neurological and surgical conditions, such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and post-operative cases.
• Perform vital sign assessments, medication reconciliation, and interpretation of laboratory results.
• Conduct dressing changes and set up aseptic/sterile procedure trays.
• Collect specimens including capillary, throat, urine (UA clean catch), and perform phlebotomy.
• Handle patient triage via telephone, manage pharmacy calls, and process patient refill requests.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure patient safety during all procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of inpatient rehabilitation RN experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Ability to interpret laboratory results and perform medication reconciliation.
• Knowledge of vital signs and documentation including allergies, patient history, and assessments.
• Experience with sterile procedures including dressing changes and specimen collection.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Acute care rehabilitation experience.
• Familiarity with neurological diagnoses such as CVA, TBI, ABI, and spinal cord injuries.
• Previous travel nursing experience is not allowed for first-time travelers.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
