Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

• Charleston, SC
Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shift (3x12s days 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.), rotating holidays
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit, including high-risk antepartum and deliveries
• Manage patient assessments, education, and support during labor, delivery, and recovery phases
• Collaborate with medical teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic charting systems
• Participate in emergency response protocols during hurricane season, if assigned
• Support the hospital’s teaching and trauma center environment, adhering to hospital protocols
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or high-risk obstetrics
• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM
• Experience with high-risk antepartum, triage, high-risk deliveries, and C-section recovery
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience in a teaching hospital or similar high-acuity setting
• Ability to adapt to block scheduling with manager approval
• Knowledge of EPIC electronic charting system
