Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Location: Peoria, IL
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Night shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult patients in a general medical-surgical unit with private and semi-private rooms.
• Titrate and monitor IV medications, including Heparin drips.
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips, troubleshoot equipment, and respond to patient needs promptly.
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
• Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and ongoing assessments.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Illinois RN license or initiation of licensure application.
• BLS certification.
• Last four digits of SSN and middle initial for compliance.
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend.
• Experience with hospital-based medical-surgical nursing, including IV titrations.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• 1+ year of hospital nursing experience.
• ACLS certification (preferred for Charge RN).
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and Phillips telemetry equipment.
