Registered Nurse PICU

- Registered Nurse - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Days, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), holiday coverage as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care treatment to pediatric patients aged 0-18 in a 28-bed PICU setting
- Monitor and manage complex medical conditions including respiratory compromise, trauma, post-operative care, neurology/neurosurgery needs, and support with ventilatory and cardiac therapies
- Administer medications, treatments, and complex supportive therapies such as ECMO and CRRT
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory Therapists, Pediatric Dietitians, and Pharmacists to deliver optimal patient care
- Document patient progress and care plans using electronic health records (EPIC) in compliance with hospital protocols
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, adhering to established clinical protocols and standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent PICU experience
- Valid SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license
- Current BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association accepted only)
- Ability to float within scope to meet unit needs
- Willingness to work 12-hour days on a flexible schedule, including holiday shifts and some weekends
- First-time travelers accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ECMO and CRRT therapies
- Strong knowledge of pediatric critical care procedures and protocols
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic, high-acuity environment

- Local candidates within 60 miles eligible, with consideration at a reduced rate for local travelers
- Must submit all requested RTO requests at time of submission; approval based on unit needs
