Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including patient assessment, care planning, and response to health issues.
• Conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families, managing discomfort and providing emotional support.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on healthcare practices and procedures to promote informed decision-making.
• Delegate tasks effectively to the healthcare team and follow up to ensure quality care delivery.
• Collaborate with colleagues and the community to develop individualized care plans, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Required Qualifications
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a specialization in nursing.
• Current RN license in the state of Texas.
• BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days of start date).
• Minimum of two years of recent, full-time experience in Labor and Delivery, with Mother Baby experience preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing laws, standards, and hospital procedures relevant to women's health.
• Proficiency in medical terminology, medication management, and patient privacy regulations.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer literacy, including electronic medical records, scheduling, and email platforms.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Mother Baby experience in a hospital setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with diverse patients and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
