Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 13-week travel position, dayshift (7AM - 7PM), starting ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a telemetry unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided accurately.
- Assess and address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
- Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on health conditions and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and effectively delegate tasks to care providers as needed.
Required Qualifications
- BLS certification required.
- Valid RN license in the state of New Mexico or a compact license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical-surgical, telemetry, or similar units.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
- Ability to float to other units such as orthopedic or pediatric units, as needed.
