• Full-time, Night shifts, rotating schedule, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients based on physician orders
• Administer and monitor invasive and non-invasive ventilation including ventilator management (e.g., Puritan Bennett 980 & 840, LTV1200)
• Support bedside care in the nursery, emergency room, and other hospital units as needed
• Document patient treatments accurately in the EPIC EMR system
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement respiratory care plans
• Assist with patient assessments and respond to emergency situations involving respiratory distress

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of respiratory therapy experience in a hospital setting
• Current NY state license or proof of application with applied date (license processing time of 6-8 weeks)
• Valid ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications (NRP required or recent experience/exposure in neonatal/pediatric care)
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system (within the past 2 years)
• Ability to work flexible schedule including every other weekend
• Reliable transportation (personal or rental vehicle recommended, especially during winter months)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel therapy experience preferred
• Experience working in a Level 2 trauma hospital or teaching facility
• Familiarity with medication systems (Pyxis) and IV pumps
