Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive maternal care to patients in the Birth Center, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum services
- Collaborate with family practice OB providers to deliver quality obstetric care
- Assist with TOLAC (trial of labor after cesarean) and VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) procedures
- Offer postoperative care for gynecology patients
- Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain patient safety and comfort during shifts
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience
- At least 2 years of previous Labor & Delivery experience
- Valid IA RN license or compact state license
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and CPI certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a hospital birth center setting
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and weekends
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
