Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to 5-7 patients with common diagnoses such as CHF, renal failure, pneumonia, C.diff, and diabetes.
• Manage admissions, discharges, and transfers within a 30-35 bed medical-surgical unit.
• Utilize equipment including EPIC charting, medication scanning, and remote telemetry monitoring.
• Monitor patients' conditions through telemetry and respond to changes as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Adhere to unit-specific protocols and participate in ongoing training and competency assessments, including medication administration.

Required Qualifications

• Active MD or compact state RN license.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Experience with telemonitoring, EPIC charting, and medication scanning tools.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced, multi-operator unit.
• Ability to float to adjacent units, including sister units, as needed.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams.
