Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care for 5-7 patients in a Medical Surgical unit.
- Perform admissions, discharges, and transfers for non-oncology cases.
- Manage patients with diagnoses such as CHF, renal failure, pneumonia, Cdiff, and diabetes.
- Utilize equipment including EPIC charting, medication scanning, and remote telemetry.
- Conduct telemonitoring and ensure proper documentation and medication management.
- Support floating to other units as needed, including a sister unit, ensuring seamless patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Active Maryland or compact state RN license.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience.
- Proficiency with EPIC charting and remote telemetry equipment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for patients with complex diagnoses like heart failure, renal failure, and infections.
- Comfort with medication competency and electronic health records.
- Ability to adapt quickly to unit procedures and protocols.
