- 8-week contract, full-time, nights (12-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Float to pediatric units as needed, ensuring quality patient care.
- Adhere to unit policies and follow specified holiday and weekend rotation schedules.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain compliance with all licensing, certification, and hospital standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license.
- Minimum of 2+ years of PICU experience.
- Current BLS and PALS certifications.
- Ability to work night shifts and participate in weekend rotations as based on unit needs.
- Ability to work with pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience floating between PICU and pediatric units.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to handle high-acuity pediatric cases effectively.
