- Full-time, temporary (13-week travel assignment), night shift
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to ICU patients in a 20-bed unit.
- Monitor and operate advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, telemetry monitors, IV pumps, Impella, IABP, CRRT, and more.
- Perform critical procedures including central line placement, thoracentesis, pericardial drain management, chest tube insertion, intubation, TEE, TTE, and transvenous pacing.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to manage patients with complex medical and surgical needs, including ECMO, post-open heart surgery, and other critical cases.
- Maintain accurate documentation using the Sunrise EMR system.
- Adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and certification requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license with active BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring.
- Ability to perform advanced critical care procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with PCU or higher-level ICU units.
- Proficiency with critical drips and ventilator management.
- Experience with complex medical devices and hemodynamic monitoring.
