Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for interventional radiology and special procedures, including IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, PACs, portables, C-arm operations, and contrast administration.
- Assist with complex procedures such as TAVR, Watchman, MitraClip, stent placements, ablations, angiograms, biopsies, drainages, and vascular studies.
- Operate imaging equipment from Siemens and Phillips, with preferred experience on GE, Toshiba, Acuson, and Hitachi.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during invasive and diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain clinical documentation and support patient care teams in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Adhere to all procedural protocols and safety standards, including COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of IR/special procedures experience.
- Must have 4+ years of cath lab experience.
- Current fluoroscopy permit.
- Certification: BLS, CRT (prior to start).
- Experience with EPIC and inpatient settings.
- Proficiency in IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, PACs, and contrast procedures.
- Skilled in handling C-arm equipment and various vascular and neurological studies.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Additional certifications: ACLS, ARRT, ARRT Advanced, NMTCB.
- Experience with outpatient, ER, Level I trauma, and adult ICU environments.
- Familiarity with Siemens and Phillips imaging systems; GE, Toshiba, Acuson, Hitachi preferred.
- Experience with complex IR procedures like TAVR, MitraClip, and ablation therapies.
