Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

• Night shift, 12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
• 48 hours per week option available
• Contract: 13 to 26 weeks
• No overtime until after 48 hours billed
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend, minimum of 6 weekends per 6 weeks
• Float required as needed
• No RTO after booking; no onsite RTO; call-offs may result in cancellation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to obstetrical patients, including high-risk cases
• Manage intrapartum, antepartum, and postpartum care for patients 16 weeks and beyond
• Perform routine outpatient procedures such as fetal surveillance and medication administration
• Assist with scheduled and unscheduled cesarean births and rescue cervical cerclage
• Collaborate with the care team using unit systems like EPIC and PYXIS
• Adapt to a fast-paced, high-acuity environment; prior circulating or OR experience preferred

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent labor and delivery experience; 3+ years preferred
• Experience working in high-volume or high-acuity units
• Ability to perform circulating, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care
• Certifications: BCLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
• Competent in managing obstetrical emergencies and routine procedures

Preferred Experience / Skills

• First-time travelers accepted with relevant experience
• Experience with large, high-volume obstetrical units
• Strong skills in sterile exams and newborn care
• Experience in OR circulating is highly preferred
