Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, inpatient (Hospital)
- 3x12-hour shifts (rotating days/night shifts)
- Days of work: primarily days, with potential rotation to nights as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Monitor and respond to patient changes, including ECG rhythm recognition
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient progress and care activities accurately and timely
- Work at least every other holiday as part of patient coverage requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing prior to travel assignment
- Recent clinical experience in Med/Surg Telemetry (travel experience acceptable)
- Active Ohio or compact state nursing license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a hospital setting with adult patients
- Ability to work flexible shifts and rotating schedules
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
