Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse during dialysis treatments.
• Initiate, monitor, and discontinuous dialysis procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain and troubleshoot dialysis equipment in collaboration with biomedical staff.
• Conduct water and dialysate safety checks, including water room testing and disinfection procedures.
• Assess patients by collecting vital signs and other clinical data; document treatment information accurately.
• Perform vascular access procedures, including cannulation and catheter care.
• Ensure infection prevention protocols are followed and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage supplies, inventory, and contribute to performance improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• Current certification as a Dialysis Technician (NNCC or BONET).
• Valid CPR or BLS certification.
• Proven experience in dialysis patient care and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read and follow complex instructions and documentation.
• Strong patient assessment and communication skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with water testing, dialysate preparation, and water treatment processes.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols in a dialysis setting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
