Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room setting, including circulating and scrubbing during surgical procedures.
• Assist in a variety of surgeries across different specialties such as orthopedics, urology, oncology, neuro, trauma, and more.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and patient data management.
• Ensure all surgical standards and safety protocols are adhered to, including trauma level 1 experience requirements.
• Collaborate with surgical teams during scheduled call and weekend shifts, including holiday coverage as needed.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, including complete employment history and work gap explanations.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license on file at the time of submission.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a hospital setting.
• Recent EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years.
• Ability to circulate and scrub in surgical procedures (both skills checklists required).
• Strong experience in general surgery and specialized areas such as ortho, URO, oncology, ENT, plastics, neuro, CVT, trauma, and Da Vinci Robotics.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and call as scheduled.
• Reliable transportation, with a personal or rental vehicle recommended, especially during winter months.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience working in large trauma Level 1 facilities.
• Familiarity with bed count, facility type, and EMR systems.

Additional Information

• Work assignments include 2 out of 4 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day.
• No block scheduling; shifts may vary throughout the week.
