Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care/Clinic/Outpatient

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, days shift, contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical support in an ambulatory surgical oncology center, primarily focusing on outpatient care.
- Assist with minor procedural tasks such as wound vac management, post-surgical drainage, and handling complications.
- Manage pre-surgical checklists, monitor messaging inboxes, and prioritize patient concerns.
- Obtain cardiac and pre-surgical clearance, place standing orders, and communicate effectively with healthcare providers.
- Follow up with patients post-surgery, monitor for complications, and address concerns promptly.
- Recognize and respond to emergencies via phone or messaging systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong nursing knowledge with the ability to support clinical and non-clinical tasks.
- Experience in surgical, medical, or oncological nursing preferred.
- Prior telephonic or triage nursing experience a plus.
- Knowledge of surgical clearance procedures beneficial.
- Ability to work independently with solid clinical judgment.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Surgical, medical, or oncological nursing background.
- Experience with telehealth or triage nursing.
- Familiarity with preoperative and postoperative processes.

Additional Notes:
- Must have worked outside of BILH for at least 6 months (per diem, contract, or permanent).
- No local candidates within 50 miles preferred.
- Submission must include approved time-off requests.
- Guaranteed hours are 72 biweekly, excluding on-call time.
