• Contract, 13 weeks, varied 12-hour day/evening shifts, no shift specified, on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures by creating and maintaining sterile fields
• Prepare and inspect sterile supplies and equipment before surgeries
• Anticipate the needs of the operative team and ensure all equipment functions properly
• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and air-powered surgical equipment according to manufacturer instructions
• Scrub all types of surgeries, including specialty procedures such as sports medicine and trauma, without additional support
• Assist RNs with operative documentation, specimen collection, and hardware recording during procedures

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of experience as a Surgical Technician or completion of Surgical Technician training
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certification or eligibility for certification as a Surgical Technician
