Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to patients in a busy hospital setting, including administration of oxygen, BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, and nebulizers
- Perform blood gas analysis and manage ventilator equipment
- Monitor patients and adjust treatments according to physician orders
- Utilize electronic medical records to document patient care and treatments
- Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Current Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Valid VA State License
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- At least 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in a hospital setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ICU experience and familiarity with blood gas analysis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Meditech EMR system
