12-Hour Night Shifts, Contract (13-16 weeks), block scheduling options available
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for orthopedic, neuro spine, post-surgical, and medical-surgical patients.
- Manage patient pain and monitor recovery progress in a fast-paced orthopedic unit.
- Follow protocols and assist with patient procedures requiring specialized orthopedic experience.
- Float to other med-surg units within the facility as needed to meet staffing requirements.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including passing EKG testing prior to start.
- Support patient care activities while ensuring compliance with unit standards and policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an orthopedic or med-surg setting.
- Valid BCLS and NRP certifications.
- Experience with IV starts and telemetry monitoring.
- Epic charting experience is required.
- Must have orthopedic work experience.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification.
- Charge nurse experience.
- Level I trauma experience.
