Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, with some day shifts and weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for labor and delivery patients, including high-risk cases
- Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs using fetal monitors and other equipment
- Assist with delivery procedures and postpartum care for mothers and newborns
- Support postpartum maternal-infant care and gynecological postoperative recovery
- Float to neonatal nursery and NICU as needed
- Ensure proper documentation and use of clinical systems such as OBIX, EPIC, and centralized monitoring
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Gynecology
- Certification in CPR/BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
- Experience with fetal monitoring and high-risk patient care
- Ability to work nights and some days, including weekends
- Must badge in and out at the facility and wear navy blue scrubs (or hospital-provided scrubs)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- STABLE certification preferred but not required
- Experience across multiple units including postpartum and gynecology
- Ability to float across departments and support neonatal and NICU staff

Additional Notes
- Travel nurses must have worked at Sanford Health at least 6 months prior to submission if previously employed there
- Orientation consists of 36 hours for travelers
- All clinicians must adhere to facility dress code and procedures
- The unit has 19 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 for labor and delivery, and 1:3 for mom/baby couplets
