Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for patients recovering from surgery.
- Monitor patient vital signs, condition, and comfort levels, ensuring a safe recovery process.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to assess patient progress and readiness for discharge.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in PACU or Perioperative nursing.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in a hospital setting with adult and pediatric patients.
- Ability to work night shift with flexibility to work major and minor holidays as scheduled.
