Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress tests for adult patients.
- Prepare and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring quality imaging for accurate diagnosis.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and review patient history to tailor exams accordingly.
- Review and analyze ultrasound images, document findings, and report results to healthcare providers.
- Assist in evaluating patient data to help diagnose and assess cardiac abnormalities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited program or at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Less than 1 year of specialized experience preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Current credentials as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardio Credentialing International (CCI) or a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience performing cardiac ultrasound procedures in a clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and pathology.
- Excellent patient communication and technical skills.
