Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Assist with surgical procedures such as general, GYN, neuro, ortho, plastics, vascular, ENT, and urology
• Support and coordinate care for patients pre- and post-operation in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and dress code requirements, including wearing provided scrubs in a specific color
• Participate in call shifts (4 days for day shift, 1 for evening, and additional days for CVOR as required)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of scrub or circulating experience in a surgical setting
• Certified in perioperative nursing or relevant RN licensure
• Ability to handle complex surgical cases, including robotics, neuro, ortho, and trauma procedures
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically Meditech

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in CVOR, cardiac surgeries, or neuro procedures
• Knowledge of specialized equipment and surgical tools used in cardiovascular surgeries
• Flexible and positive attitude, with excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Prior experience with high-acuity surgical units and fast decision-making
