Key Responsibilities

• Provide general bedside nursing care to MedSurg patients of all ages.
• Administer medications and manage patient treatment using equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, Hill-rom beds, call systems, Kangaroo pumps, and Quadramed Pyxis.
• Assist in various units including ER, postpartum, and step-down, supporting staff without patient load.
• Follow established orientation and training protocols, including HR and education sessions, restraint training, and shadowing periods.
• Participate in on-call rotations and assist with staffing coverage during low census times.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards, ensuring proper use of equipment and adherence to hospital policies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of MedSurg nursing experience.
• Valid BLS certification required.
• PALS certification is required.
• Ability to manage multiple patient needs and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working across multiple units such as ER, postpartum, and step-down units.
• Flexibility to assist in various departments and adapt to changing schedules.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed orientation and training protocols.
