Key Responsibilities
• Provide respiratory therapy to pediatric and adult patients across multiple ICU settings, including Level IV NICU, Level I PICU, and Cardiothoracic ICU
• Manage ventilators, trachs, suctioning, oxygen therapy, and other advanced respiratory procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-acuity patient care in a level 4 NICU and trauma environment
• Work across at least two ICU units, including pediatric and trauma patient populations
• Cover approximately four weekend shifts over a four-week scheduling period, including some Fridays and Sundays
• Deliver care in a facility recognized for excellence, including Magnet designation and Beacon Award
Required Qualifications
• California RCP License in hand
• NBRC – RRT National Certification (Advanced level is required, no longer accepted at the basic level)
• BLS (AHA) certification
• PALS (AHA) certification
• NRP (AHA) certification, with in-hand or registered for an upcoming advanced course prior to start date
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Trauma Level I or NICU Level IV environment
• Experience with ventilators, trachs, vents, suctioning, and oxygen therapy
• Ability to work both nights and weekends, including holidays if required
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Pediatric ICU experience with high-acuity patients
• Familiarity with pediatric pulmonary conditions such as asthma, bronchiolitis, cystic fibrosis, and cerebral palsy
• Prior work in high-level trauma or NICU settings, including heart transplant care in CTICU
• Experience with advanced respiratory therapies like heliox and inhaled nitric oxide (iNO)

Note:
Candidates must be willing to work both holidays, including evenings, and should not have conflicting employment. This role requires a California RCP license, NBRC RRT certification at the advanced level, and at least one year of trauma or NICU Level IV experience.
