Therapist - Respiratory Therapist
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Schedule / Job Type: Night shifts (3x12 or 4x12), evening/night hours required
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care primarily in Labor & Delivery (L&D) units, with potential to float to NICU, PICU, and Pediatric units based on facility needs
- Administer advanced respiratory therapies including ventilator management (Servo I, Servo U, Hamilton G5) and other life support equipment
- Monitor patients closely, including neonates and children requiring respiratory support
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient responses
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Comply with all safety standards and certification requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Indiana State Respiratory Therapist License (must be in hand to submit)
- NBRC RRT certification
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- NRP certification (required for L&D assignments, obtainable once offered)
- 18 months recent experience in NICU, PICU, or Pediatric units
- Experience with ventilators such as Servo I, Servo U, Hamilton G5
- Must have L&D experience for specific assignments
- Accredited by CoARC and regionally recognized by CHEA
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- PALS certification
- Trauma 1 experience within the last year in a children’s hospital setting
- Flexibility to float among NICU, PICU, and Peds units

Note: Candidates must have Indiana licensure and certifications in hand to qualify. Floating to multiple pediatric units may be required. Effective 11/30/24, IN RNs may face certain facility restrictions, but travelers in perioperative or ambulatory settings are exempt.
