- Full-time, 13-week travel contract, day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a Medical Surgical unit with a focus on oncology patients
- Perform medical procedures including chemo administration and routine bedside care
- Assist with patient assessments, medication administration, and documentation
- Collaborate closely with a small team of RNs and PCTs to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Follow unit policies, including adherence to dress code and on-call rotations
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas or appropriate state licensing
- Experience with Medical Surgical and Oncology patient care
- Strong proficiency in EMR systems (preferably Meditech)
- Ability to handle patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 effectively
- Knowledge of typical procedures related to medical-surgical and chemo treatments
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in Oncology and Medical Surgical units
- Familiarity with chemo administration and oncology-specific protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
