Key Responsibilities
- Provide postoperative care to patients recovering from surgery in a large, teaching hospital setting
- Monitor and manage high-acuity critical care patients, including those with art lines, titrating drips, and cardiac monitoring
- Administer medications and infusion therapies, with a preference for infusion specialty experience
- Ensure patient safety and comfort across all age groups, including pediatrics, on night shift
- Document patient status accurately in the electronic medical record system, ensuring compliance with facility standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Vermont or appropriate state licensure to practice
- 2-5 years of recent critical care PACU experience in a large, teaching hospital
- Must have current EPIC electronic medical record experience (within the past 2 years)
- Critical care certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Experience with high-acuity patient monitoring, invasive lines, and multiple titrating drips
- Experience caring for pediatric patients and comfortable with patients of all ages
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Infusion therapy specialty experience
- Experience in a large, teaching hospital setting
- Ability to work independently and handle complex cases during night shifts
