Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, rotating shifts, 36-hour weekly
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to acutely ill adults with a variety of medical conditions in a large teaching hospital
- Manage and monitor patients using IV pumps, Phillips monitors, PCA/PCEA, chest tubes, and wound vacs
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC experience required within the past 12 months)
- Float to related units as needed and ensure adherence to unit protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Ensure all work history is thoroughly documented, including facility details and employment gaps
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license on file at the time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse in a large teaching hospital
- Experience with IV pumps, Phillips monitors, PCA/PCEA, chest tubes, and wound vacs
- Valid BCLS, NIHSS, and ACLS certifications
- Prior EPIC electronic medical record experience (within the last 12 months)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience at large medical facilities
- Experience working with a diverse patient population with complex medical needs
- Reliable transportation, with all-season or snow tires required for travel between November and April
