Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a generalist in a critical access hospital laboratory, demonstrating full competency across all lab departments.
• Perform, analyze, and report diagnostic tests on a variety of specimens from different sources.
• Conduct procedures with attention to accuracy, quality, and adherence to laboratory protocols.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of test results to support patient care.
• Maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory standards within the laboratory.

Required Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP preferred).
• Demonstrated competency in performing a broad range of laboratory procedures.
• Ability to work independently and handle a variety of specimen types and testing methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a hospital or critical access facility.
• Familiarity with lab information systems and testing equipment.
• Ability to adapt to a rotating schedule and work overnight shifts.
