Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population, including neonates through geriatrics.
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform procedural sedation as required.
• Interpret EKGs, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to acute medical emergencies such as stroke, respiratory issues, and trauma.
• Document patient care accurately using Medi Tech system and communicate effectively using SBAR methodology.
• Support patients with behavioral health needs, including managing violent behavior and psychiatric holds.
• Follow infection control protocols and isolation precautions to ensure patient and staff safety.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency room nursing experience
• ACLS and PALS certifications
• BLS certification
• Experience with Medi Tech documentation system
• Ability to interpret EKGs and manage dysrhythmias
• Knowledge of emergency procedures for adult and pediatric patients

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certification in stroke care
• Experience in a community hospital emergency department setting
• Ability to manage ventilated and critically ill patients
• Strong skills in trauma and behavioral health nursing
